Yes! In fact, if you’ve never been skiing or snowboarding, or if have limited experience, training at Virtual Snow is the best way to learn. You’ll learn all the fundamentals in a safe, controlled learning environment–all without picking up the bad habits that many beginners develop if they learn entirely on snow.
Our certified instructors are phenomenally talented at meeting each client where they are in terms of their current abilities. Your trainer will guide you through personalized sets of drills that start at your current skill level and take you through more advanced training at the pace that’s right for you.

No. We work with more experienced skiers and boarders all the time! Sometimes they’re looking for a quick refresher before a trip to the snow. Other times, they’re recovering from an injury and train with us to get back into shape safely after some time away from the slopes.
Even world champions have trained on simulators, including Suzi "Chapstick" Chaffee, Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley, and our founder, Bad Bob Salerno himself. Bob trained on simulators in the offseason to gain an edge on his competition. Based on Bob’s two world championships, it seems to have worked out pretty well for him!

If you can walk, we can train you!
We regularly teach skiing and snowboarding to kids as young as two years old and adults in their golden years.
Our simulator-based snow sports training program can benefit anyone ready to learn, regardless of age or physical ability. Perfect for the whole family.
Our instructors are adept at personally tailoring the learning experience to be as fun AND productive as possible for each and every person who walks through our doors.

A single one-hour session at Virtual Snow is equivalent to an all-day private lesson on the mountain. How, you might ask? On snow, you have a lot of downtime between runs – waiting in lines, riding the lift, taking some time to grab a bite at the lodge. At Virtual Snow, you can spend your whole hour riding! Although we encourage taking breaks as needed :)
Now, picture this – You’ve spent all the of the time, money, and effort it takes to plan a ski trip. But when you actually get on the snow and start riding, you struggle and end up not having as much fun as you’d hoped. Then, just as you start to get the hang of it, all of a sudden it’s time to go home.
The costs of a trip can add up… a place to stay, travel expenses, lift tickets, on-mountain lessons, gear rentals, food & drink. After all this, the last thing you want is to spend all your time on the mountain falling and having a bad time.
By training 1-on-1 with our instructors in a controlled environment, you’ll learn the skills and muscle memory without all the time, travel, costs, and stress that come with planning any trip. You’ll blow past the learning curve and be in proper shape to truly DO the sport, right from the moment you start riding on real snow!
That said, the combination of both Virtual Snow training and on-mountain lessons can be a powerful mix. If you choose to enhance your skills even further by taking lessons on the mountain after your Virtual Snow training, you'll learn significantly faster and have WAY MORE FUN.

Yes. You may want to skip leg day.
Skiing and snowboarding involves the active use of muscle groups that we often don’t exercise on a day-to-day basis. So training on our simulators is an excellent way to build muscle strength and endurance, which directly translates to having more fun on the slopes!

Yes! We’ve helped countless individuals regain their confidence and physical ability after recovering from an injury.
Training on our indoor ski and snowboard simulators provides a safe, controlled environment that enables you to practice both safely and comfortably. The exercise you’ll get from training with us can be a critical tool in rebuilding muscle strength and memory before getting back on the mountain.
If you’re at all unsure about your physical ability or risk of injury, please consult your physician prior to training at Virtual Snow.
